Contemporary urban paving, Taoyuan – Taiwan

In 2025, in Taoyuan, Taiwan, the outdoor paving in sintered stone of the Riguang Road Complex was completed, a contemporary urban project featuring high-traffic pedestrian spaces, using L’ALTRA PIETRA Colosseo Basalt Grau, Fortezza Diorite and Fortzza Montorfano in the 30×30×2 cm (12"x12"x0.8") and 60×60×2 cm (24"x24"x0.8") formats, along with custom elements.
The intervention defined continuous and functional pedestrian surfaces. The layout features a modular geometric composition, where the alternation of formats and tones creates a dynamic visual rhythm, enhancing pathways and structuring the urban space.
From an aesthetic perspective, the sintered stone slabs combine light and dark grey tones. Colosseo Basalt Grau offers a compact and uniform texture, while Fortezza Diorite and Fortezza Montorfano introduces subtle natural variations. The overall effect is balanced, contemporary and refined.
