Square and Pedestrian Routes – Costa Volpino (BG) - Italy

In 2026, a paving project was completed in Costa Volpino, in the province of Bergamo, for a square and several covered pedestrian routes. The project enhances the public space through a custom geometric composition, designed to make the urban walkways clearer, more orderly and more welcoming.
Special trapezoid elements were used for the paving, made with 2CM (0.8") Colosseo Fiora and 2CM (0.8") Colosseo Pietra di Gerusalemme. The installation alternates warm shades, beige, taupe and brown tones, creating a dynamic pattern that guides movement under the arcades, through the commercial areas and across the open spaces of the square.
The result has the appearance of an outdoor paving with a graphic and contemporary character. The custom-made pieces generate a recognizable visual rhythm without becoming excessive. The trapezoid shapes break the rigidity of a traditional installation while maintaining continuity between the different areas.
2CM (0.8") Colosseo Fiora introduces a warmer and more textured note, inspired by Tuscan Pietra Santafiora. Its natural shades, ranging from ochre to beige and brown, add depth to the surface. 2CM (0.8") Colosseo Pietra di Gerusalemme brings brightness with light and golden tones, creating an elegant contrast suited to a mountain urban setting.
The result is a resistant, decorative and functional Sintered Stone paving, able to interact with arcades, shop windows, street furniture, flowerbeds and pedestrian routes. The choice of special pieces makes it possible to obtain an original surface, designed with attention to detail and to the aesthetic quality of the public space.
