Bleached wood, ash-grey grain and weathered patinas

2CM (0.8") VINTAGE Hell interprets the character of very light, naturally aged wood in Sintered Stone, with an aesthetic inspired by bleached Nordic pine, in the 40x120x2 cm (16"x48"x0.8") format.
The background combines chalk white, pearl grey, light ash grey and subtle cool beige shades. The natural wood colour remains visible beneath a light, desaturated patina.
The lighter areas are distributed irregularly. They create subtle worn effects, powdery transitions and fine streaks that recall a bleached surface naturally marked by use and time.
The ash-grey background remains visible beneath these areas and adds depth. The result avoids both a completely white appearance and the heavier character of dark rustic wood.
Its identity comes from the contrast between bleached grain, silver-grey fibres and weathered patinas. The surface remains bright while preserving the natural pattern of the wood.

Advantages of 2CM (0.8") VINTAGE Hell:

  • Bleached wood effect: chalk white, pearl grey and ash create a bright colour palette without concealing the natural appearance of the fibres.
  • Weathered patinas: lighter areas, subtle worn effects and powdery sections add depth to the Sintered Stone slab and recall treated wood naturally marked by time.
  • Subtle grain and knots: the design preserves the natural character of wood without adopting the strongly rustic appearance of heavily knotted surfaces.

Solar Reflectance
Index (SRI)

The Solar Reflectance Index (SRI) measures a material's ability to reflect solar energy and release absorbed heat, essentially indicating how "cool" a surface will stay in sunlight. It combines solar reflectance (how much sunlight bounces off) and thermal emittance (how well it radiates absorbed heat). Higher SRI values mean a material will stay cooler when exposed to sunlight, making it beneficial for reducing heat buildup in buildings and mitigating the Urban Heat Island effect.
